Julie Koenig is a vocalist, pianist and songwriter in Northern Colorado. Originally from Huron, Ohio, Julie has been an active performer and educator in Colorado since earning her Master's in Jazz Studies at the University of Northern Colorado. Her sound is most influenced by the traditions of jazz and blues; key inspirations include Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell and Carole King.
