about

Julie Koenig's debut album intentionally features a quartet of highly skilled women, challenging the decades-old trend of all-male jazz groups. You'll hear both original songs and fresh interpretations of classic Great American Songbook tunes, with common themes of feminism, body positivity, and dealing with anxiety. This album is highly personal, while paying homage to the traditions of jazz and blues that influenced Julie's vocal style.
